Riots rock Callisto2/12/2022
Authorities on Callisto today issued a state of emergency due to the recent riots. Callisto has been rocked by several riots in the last few months in protest against the central government. The rioters have been demanding the dismantling of the police force and the end of the rule of law. According to opponents of the rioters Callisto is becoming a safe haven for criminals. Due to lax immigration requirements many criminals from around the solar system have been flocking to Callisto in recent years. In addition to that many worlds are offering incentives to recently released convicts to relocate to Callisto. It is estimated that about 95% of Callistans have been incarcerated at some point in their lives. |
